Q [Jay]: Bryan, what mobile technology do you use? Such as Palm Phones, Top Producer?
A [Bomba]: I use TP 7i to run my business and personal life. Each day I prioritize a task as a 1, 2 or 3 to determine when it gets done. 1=must be done right now; 2=must be done today, 3=should be done today. 3’s become 2’s or 1’s the next day.
Q [Jay]: Bryan, what is the number 1 time-effective process you have found to get buyers?
A [Bomba]: I use STAR POWER’s pre-list package (highly customized) with a hard cover.
Q [Rosemary]: What is your biggest source for getting new buyers?
A [Bomba]: Leads on listings… internet lead conversion.
Q [Jay]: What systems do you use for that?
A [Bomba]: Jay - I get tons of leads off of my custom real estate website bryanbomba.com and my hinsdale real estate blog blog.bryanbomba.com.
Q [Holly]: Hindsight being 20/20, is there anything you wish you would have done early on in your career that you’ve found to be invaluable now?
A [Bomba]: Holly… I would have joined STAR POWER sooner and benefited from the experiences of those who have fine-tuned systems.
Q [Jay]: Do you pay for listing placement on Google or Yahoo?
A [Bomba]: Never… I get organic first page placement as a result of the SEO provided by my hinsdale real estate blog.
Q [Diskin]: How do you get tons of people to your website?
A [Bomba]: Again… the blog… it’s the absolute cheapest and most effective way to get top search engine optimization fast [see my blog.bryanbomba.com on 1st page in Google for hinsdale il real estate.] I use a company called RealEstateBlogSites.com which are enterprise level sites, not the freebies. They have amazingly impactful technology, but are easy for the users to use.
Q [Diskin]: Do you write your blog yourself?
A [Bomba]: I blog twice a week… it takes no more than 30 minutes total. I get it from a variety of sources including newspapers. When I see something that may be good, I cut it out and place it in my blog file so that I don’t have to think of fresh content 2x/week.
Q [Diskin]: How do people find your blog? Do you have to put in keywords to have it come up or is the company you use making it happen?
A [Bomba]: Type in “Hinsdale real estate” and see what happens [see blog.bryanbomba.com on 1st page in Google for hinsdale il new construction.]. I put in key words on each posting… I keep it real simple: Hinsdale real estate, Hinsdale house, new construction in Hinsdale, etc.
Q [Kathleen]: Do you think your blog will replace your web site?
A [Bomba]: I think that a good Real Estate Blogsite could replace a website… probably 5 years away.
Q [Tracy]: Bryan, do your stats for your Weekly Market Stats Report pull in automatically or are the numbers pulled manually from the MLS and then added manually into an Excel spreadsheet?
Q Bomba: Unfortunately, it’s a manual process, but that sheet of paper makes me sound like a genius to any prospect I speak with. I sound like a fountain of up-to-the-minute market stats.
Q [Diskin]: Do the sellers ask you about not having any exposure in the newspaper?
A [Bomba]: Yes. I share with them my comprehensive marketing plan. Also, I say that newspaper is antiquated and ineffective, so I’d rather focus my resources on what works.
Q [Marcie]: What types of online advertising do you do for your listings?
A [Bomba]: Direct mail (postcards); 20+ websites; real estate blogsite.
Q [Barbara]: You redesigned your logo and marketing. How did that go and would you recommend the companies?
A [Bomba]: I redesigned the entire branding. I used Lulu Strategy. They’re awesome. Talk to Erin. She knows the realtor marketing business cold. She will cut through the BS and give you a brand that is unique and professional, not cheesy.
